Music Highlight - T.M.Revolution

T.M. Revolution (Takamori Makes Revolution) is a popular J-pop/ rock singer who began his career as a soloist in May 1996 with his debut single, “Monopolize.” His crossover into performing anime singles, such as Ruroni Kenshin’s third ending theme, served to further expand his fan base. While continuing with his solo project as TMR, he is also currently the lead singer for the famous J-rock band, Abingdon Boys School. From the start, Takamori Nishikawa has been praised for his vocal talents, catchy tunes, and strong stage presence. The passion displayed during every concert is reflected in many of his best selling songs, such as “Invoke” and “Innocent Sorrow.”
As a manga and anime-lover, TMR has constructed a global fan base and reputation mainly among Japanimation enthusiasts by performing at several anime conventions throughout the US and different parts of Asia. Some of his most popular releases have been featured in shows such as Sengoku BASARA: Samurai Heroes, Soul Eater, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, D.Gray-Man, and Bleach.

T.M.Revolution and Abingdon Boys School are among my favorite Japanese musicians, not only because their songs are catchy, but also because several of them convey a message that I can relate to. I’m sure that several of their fans feel the same way.
